Treats on the Street was held in downtown Gordo, October 30. Bad weather had threatened all day but the afternoon turned sunny. About 20 vehciles were on hand, with their trunks decorated, to hand out candy to children. Over 60 people were in the judging for the costume contest. This event is made possible by area Churches and local businesses.
Winners were Cooper Falls. ages 0-1, Raggady Andy; Anna Belle Beck, ages 2-4, Pig; Nathan Reece, ages 5-8, Sponge Bob; Branden Clark, ages 9-12, DVD Charlottes' Web; Susan Perrigin, Adult, Jail bird; Randy & Sherry Dillard, Adult group, Captain Hook & Tinkerbelle and New Life Worship Center, best decorated car.

Treats on the Streets was held Oct. 29 on Main Street. Approximately 1200 people attended the event. Fourteen automoblies were judged for the Best Decorated Trunk contest. Nan Sumners of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church won the award for Jack's Fishin' Hole. Over 100 children entered the costume contest.
